Tentative Day-wise Plan
Day 1: Bagdogra – Darjeeling (Approx 90 Kms. / 03 Hrs)
One of the most spectacular hill resorts in the world, Darjeeling is met and greeted upon arrival at NJP/Bagdogra. You can explore this Hill Queen in the evening. Stop for the night in Darjeeling.
Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Visit Tiger Hill, where the sunrise over Mount Kanchenzonga is famed, about 4:00 in the morning. On the way back, stop at Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop before returning to the accommodation. Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the PNZ Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, the Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), the Tea Garden (outside view), and return to the hotel for lunch following your morning activities. Free time to enjoy the evening. Stop for the night in Darjeeling.
Day 3: Darjeeling – Mirik Excursion
After breakfast, take an excursion to Mirik Lake, a great place for a picnic that is famous for its artificial Sumendu Lake and is surrounded by orange orchards, cardamom plantations, and tea estates. Mirik Lake is set in forested hills at an elevation of 5800 feet. back to the hotel in the evening. Stop for the night in Darjeeling.
Day 4: Darjeeling – Gangtok (About 119 Kms / 04 Hrs)
Transfer to Gangtok in the morning via the Peshok Tea Gardens and the lovely Teesta River. Halt for the night in Gangtok.
Day 5: Gangtok Sightseeing
After breakfast Excursion trip of Tsomgo Lake (12,400-ft.) and Baba Mandir. Tsomgo Lake freezes completely during the winter and is much revered by the locals. Overnight Halt in Gangtok.
Day 6: Gangtok – Bagdogra Departure (Approx 125 Kms / 4 Hrs)
