Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival At Reykjavik

We will greet you at the airport when you arrive in Reykjavik. Take a cab and head to the lodging. After arriving, check into the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Spend the evening at the hotel.

Day 2: Half Day City Tour Of Reykjavik

Following breakfast, you will visit Höfi House, the location of the pivotal 1986 summit between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev between the USSR and the USA. We will then proceed to the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, which is situated near the historic city harbor and was honored with the European Union for Contemporary Architecture's 2013 Mies van der Rohe Award. We will drive from Harpa, stopping at the City Hall and making a quick detour to the Parliament building. This will provide you with a great chance to capture a picture of the building and Austurvöllur Park in front of it. We're going to the largest and one of the tallest churches in Iceland, Hallgrmskirkja Church.

After you have a relaxing evening, you will then have a comfortable stay the night at the hotel.

Day 3: Evening Tour Of Northern Lights

We're going to the largest and one of the tallest churches in Iceland, Hallgrmskirkja Church. We have the opportunity to observe everything at The Perlan Glass Dome with its 360° viewing platform before heading to Bessastair, the official residence of the President of Iceland.

After a leisurely evening, spend the night at the hotel.

As we stare in a hypnotic haze, let the lights, if we're lucky, take your breath away. The amazing spectacle taking place in front of you should inspire you. All you have to do is hope for ideal weather and timing, but if nothing else, at least take in these sights!

The Northern Lights can be seen from late August through April, but only on clear nights. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel this tour if the weather is unfavourable, or the nighttime sky is very cloudy. By no later than 5 p.m., a decision is taken regarding the trip's viability each day. Please contact the local operator or the front desk of your hotel to find out if we will be leading the tour. Our decision has been emailed to every hotel in Reykjavik.

Before starting our excursion, we always check the weather forecast for the southwest region of Iceland. To increase our chances of viewing the Northern Lights, we map out each path according to our past experiences.

Since seeing the Northern Lights is a natural event, please be advised that sightings cannot be guaranteed. If you don't see the northern lights during your tour, you can reschedule it for another night without having to pay anything extra.

After an alluring day, you can further enjoy your stay the night in a hotel.

Day 4: Day At Leisure

Optional Tour: Golden Circle Day Tour

You have the entire day to yourself, so after breakfast, you can go shopping and explore the local markets.

Another option is to go on a day tour that circles the Golden Circle.

The Gullfoss and Geysir bus tour whisks you away for a full day to the famous Geysir geothermal area, the Thingvellir National Park, and Iceland's most famous waterfall, Gullfoss.

The Geysir geothermal area is home to Strokkur, Iceland's most active geyser. You may stand next to Gullfoss's majestic waterfall and see enormous volumes of water rushing rapidly into a tight, winding ravine.

You will spend your time at Thingvellir National Park, a location of historical and geological significance, whether you go for the morning or afternoon tour. There, you will see a variety of Iceland's natural beauties and geological occurrences.

Take note! Recall that this is The Golden Circle Express, which gives you less time at each location.

And then you can relax with your cozy night stay in a hotel.

Day 5: Departure From Reykjavik

Check out of the hotel after breakfast, and you'll be taken to the airport to resume your journey home. It is the guests' responsibility to get to the meeting area where all tours start. For an additional cost, the same accommodations can be scheduled in case transfers are required.
