This beautiful state is bordered on the north by Tibet, on the east by Bhutan, on the south by West Bengal, and on the west by Nepal. There are numerous tourist attractions in Sikkim that you must see.

Itinerary

Day 1: Bagdogra – Darjeeling (Approx 90 Kms. / 03 Hrs)

As soon as you enter Sikkim, you will be welcomed in one of the most spectacular hill resorts in the world - Darjeeling at NJP/Bagdogra. You can explore this Queen of Hills in the evening and stop for the night in Darjeeling.

Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing

Visit Tiger Hill, where the sunrise over Mount Kanchenzonga is famed, at about 4:00 in the morning. On the way back, stop at Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop before returning to the accommodation. Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the PNZ Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, the Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), and the Tea Garden (outside view), and return to the hotel for lunch following your morning activities. You will have free time to enjoy the evening. Spend your night in Darjeeling.

Day 3: Darjeeling – Mirik Excursion

After breakfast, go on a picnic to Mirik Lake. It is famous for its artificial Sumendu Lake and is surrounded by orange orchards, cardamom plantations, and tea estates. Mirik Lake is located in forested hills at an elevation of 5800 feet. In the evening, return to the hotel. Darjeeling is where you'll spend the night.

Day 4: Darjeeling – Gangtok (About 119 Kms / 04 Hrs)

Head to Gangtok in the morning, passing through the Peshok Tea Gardens and the beautiful Teesta River. Stop in Gangtok for the night.

Day 5: Gangtok Sightseeing

Get ready to enjoy Tsomgo Lake (12,400 feet) and Baba Mandir after breakfast. Tsomgo Lake, which freezes completely during the winter, is highly regarded by the locals. Stopover in Gangtok for the night.

Day 6: Gangtok – Bagdogra Departure (Approx 125 Kms / 4 Hrs)
